Nimonik.ca is a management tool to keep companies up to date on Canadian  (and soon US) federal, provincial and local environmental regulations, in plain English; and ensure compliance with those environmental obligations.
NImonik acts as both an information source & management tool.
As a member, you receive explanations of new and changed regulations, explanatory text on common topics (such as Air Emissions, Hazardous Materials, and 16 more) and links to the actual legislation (sourced from CCOHS) – all of which is searchable.
To help environmental specialists better manage their ongoing obligations, the site proposes a few noteworthy tools:

Create or upload an existing legal register and an aspect-impact register (typically found with ISO 14001)

This is kept up to date by the site. With no user quantity restrictions, all your colleagues can share access to registers, leave notes, etc.

When it is time for your ISO audit there is no need to scramble to make sure everything is up to date.
In conjunction with legal registers, you can also upload your permits and Certificates of authorization. The site will are automatically add expiry dates to a central calendar which then lists important reporting dates and upcoming regulations.
Last, but not least, the site offers a “Guidelines” section which allows any member to share a document of interest – a best practice, voluntary reporting programs, and other documents. These tools should save anyone in the environment field time and money.
To help you get a feel for what the site offers, all of the federal content is available free of charge. (Provinces and municipalities are available with a low cost monthly subscription.)
The site attempts to bring many of the web technologies you are familiar with to the environmental management field. The combination of a high quality information source and easy to use management tool dramatically reduces the workload of environmental specialists.
